"Le Gauche Papillion" means "The Clumsy Butterfly". The name came about from a group of left over letters from a wall art project. French is my favorite language and even though I am not fluent. The studio has been moved twice and it takes on a new life each time. My weekends are spent in thrift and antique stores. Our entire house was created from secondhand items that have been repurposed. I am never afraid of something a that has wear and tear. To me it all salvagable!

Building a Brand..

This week I am setting out to find a booth space for my wares. It is a little intimidating to think people will pass through my creations. All this time I have been building up to the idea that I could sell some of the things I have painted and created. Bravery is only viewed in hindsight. So here we go... I am building Le Gauche Papillion as a brand. A name that will stand for the fanciful imaginings of an artist.
