"Le Gauche Papillion" means "The Clumsy Butterfly". The name came about from a group of left over letters from a wall art project. French is my favorite language and even though I am not fluent. The studio has been moved twice and it takes on a new life each time. My weekends are spent in thrift and antique stores. Our entire house was created from secondhand items that have been repurposed. I am never afraid of something a that has wear and tear. To me it all salvagable!

Le Gauche Papillion~ The Begining

My studio is coming together. Throughout my life I have looked at objects and thought about what they could be. Creating or recreating has always been my passion. Most of the things in my house have been redone, made over, painted, and fixed up. It is safe to say that I love things with history. Old suit cases, bottles, and bits of what I call "doodadery" (doo- dad- ery; root word doodad ) are kept until I figure out the height of their potential an make it happen.

Inspiration is everywhere. Over the weekend my tulips began to bloom. The trees in my yard have beautiful buds, blue birds, rabbits are everywhere... yes spring is the beginning.
