"Le Gauche Papillion" means "The Clumsy Butterfly". The name came about from a group of left over letters from a wall art project. French is my favorite language and even though I am not fluent. The studio has been moved twice and it takes on a new life each time. My weekends are spent in thrift and antique stores. Our entire house was created from secondhand items that have been repurposed. I am never afraid of something a that has wear and tear. To me it all salvagable!

Romantic Headboard

The top portion of this headboard is the original part of the headboard. It was a horrible laminate headboard, and so I had to figure out some way to cover it. All the letters and cards that are decoupaged on the headboard were written between me and my husband. The bottom half of the headboard was added this year so that we could lean against the headboard without disturbing the love letters. We built the bottom half ourselves out of plywood, then we covered it with foam and used furniture tacks to make the tuffets.
