The base started out as an ugly green candle holder. I bought the base to make a pincushion and then realized that the shape mimicked this plate. I painted the base in the purple tones of the plate and then glued the two together. I am still looking for a small globe (possibly from a cheese set) to go in top so this can be used as a cookie plate. Ah-ha! I found a dome for it!
You are very creative, maybe your mother did say sometimes you went to far but than it wouldn't make you the artist you are today. Keep up the great work and never lose your creativity :)
